CERTIFICATION AT SEA
Your 2010 International Tour Manager Certification Program
at sea:
Your 2010 certification program and cruise is
scheduled for 23 October to 6 November (15 day, 14 night cruise)
while onboard the NCL Sun. Classes on the ship
are conducted only during the 6 days we are at sea. You have no
classes while in any of the ports-of-call. The cruise begins
and ends in Orlando, FL (Port Canaveral) which allows you to book
roundtrip airfare. We are currently accepting enrollments for
this program. Your registration fees hold the class space and berth
for you.
There are 5 full days of class while at sea and one day
mid-cruise while in port at Orlando, (six days of class
in total), beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending 5:30 p.m. They are
conducted in a private meeting room. Outside of classroom hours
you are free to participate in all ship activities. Please note:
you will be spending some time in individual and small groups for
study and preparation as well as three hours on a motorcoach upon
the final return to Port Canaveral. Most of the assignments can
be completed prior to the start of the cruise program. Of course,
all meals, entertainment, in-port excursions, etc. are available
to the students and guests.
Worried about the extra cost of certifying
and cruising solo? Students willing to share will
be assigned a student roommate. You will have the opportunity to
talk with your roommate prior to the start of the program. You
may bring non-student guest travelers at the published double occupancy
rate. Non-students cannot attend any of the classes but
can join you at your graduation ceremony, on the motorcoach portion
of the program in Port Canaveral, and (outside of classroom hours)
enjoy all the ship and shore amenities with you.
Discounts are available to student
participants. Enroll and pay in full for your certification and
cruise by April 1, 2010 and receive a $200.00 discount on your tuition.
Enroll and pay in full for your certification
and cruise by May 1, 2010 and receive a $150.00 discount on your
tuition and by June 1 and receive a $100.00 discount on your tuition.
The cruise portion cost per person (2 people to
a cabin) is the quoted NCL rate of a Balcony (Category BA) at $1599.00
p.p.; Oceanview (Category FF) is $1199.00 p.p.; and an inside berth
is only $999.00 p.p. These prices include
taxes and fees.
The total price for this International Tour Manager
certification program is the same as in any of our USA or international
locations. There is a $200.00 registration fee and $1425.00 tuition
for a total of $1625.00. If you enroll by phone or fax, the original
signed enrollment form must be received within 7 days of your enrollment.
The 2010 certification program and cruise itinerary
starts and finishes in Port Orlando (Port Canaveral) Florida. This
allows all participants the financial savings of utilizing round
trip airfare prices.
Embarkation: Saturday 23 October 2010 scheduled
for 4:00 p.m.
Disembarkation: Saturday 6 November 2010.
Ports of call: Orlando (Port Canaveral); Nassau;
St. Thomas in the USVI, St. Maarten; Key West; Santo Tomas De Castilla
(Guatemala), Belize City (Belize), and Cozumel.
You should consider arriving in Orlando the day
before departure in order to insure you do not miss the cruise departure
on the 23rd. NCL requires you to be onboard no later than two hours
before departure at 16:00. On your flights home please consider
that the ship arrival time in Orlando is scheduled at 8:00 a.m.
which means that getting off the ship will begin about 9:00 a.m.
and can take up to two+ hours for you to leave the ship and clear
Immigration and Customs. Upon arrival, all students (and guests
if they wish) will board a motorcoach for their narration portion
of the program. This will take 3 hours. Then, the motorcoach will
go to the airport and drop off students and guests departing that
day. Late afternoon flights (16:00 or later) are needed.
We suggest enrolling as soon as you can make an
informed decision.
Space is limited and based on availability. This
cruise with NCL, and certification program by IGA, is capacity controlled,
subject to availability and will be closed for enrollment when maximum
capacity in the program is reached.
Your enrollment form for the IGA Certification
At Sea program is included when you order
a catalog. As with all of our other courses, you may
enroll by telephone, fax, email, or mail as you wish.
